Speech Translated To Sign Language By Robotic Hand
A human-sized robotic hand designed by Japanese engineers can interpret language and translate uncomplicated words and phrases into sign language. Though the prototype can only make 10 gesticulations associated with speech, a future version could serve as a comprehensive translator for those with hearing deficiencies and is expected to recognize hundreds of thousands of words.
